What would happen if I used water treatment for tropical fish on my goldfish?

Coz i bought some water treatment for a tropical fish by accident and I have a goldfish. So would it kill the goldfish because I actually quite like it. By the way, does anyone know what happened to my goldfish coz for a few minutes it kept swimming into things like the pineapple house and the trees, but now its swimming around them again and it can see the food again.
