shaft on 1987 jeep cherokee 4.0? had the transfer case rebuilt. installed a rebuilt transmission, didnt put the front shaft on yet. when i put the tranny in gear, the front yoke turns no matter what 4wd gear im in, but the back yoke doesn't turn at all. i removed the transfer case and engaged the tranny and the rear shaft of the tranny is turning. both forward and reverse work.
what would cause the forward shaft on the transfer case turn and not the rear
