It doesnt do this all the time but it wants to stall when either parked, put into gear, or while driving at a slow speed. Restarts fine like there was nothing wrong and when you would go to put it in gear or keep it idling in park, it will do it again. But yet it has gone days without doing this and has made long trips at about 30-40 miles with no trouble at all. Check Engine light comes on when it stalls but AutoZone could not check it with the scanner because it didnt do it over in their parking lot. Any suggestions as to what this might be??

It is usually (80%) IAC valve. Called the idle speed motor. I had the same problem with a dodge avenger. Same motor.

It could be the TPS throttle positioning sensor. Tell the computer where the butterfly is at on the throttle body.

If it stall or almost stall when you are sitting at a light with the fan on and/or idle is irratic, its the idle speed motor.

It won't show up on a check engine light, because it will not store a code, it will probably show a code (if it does) for the MAP sensor.

They aren't too pricey and they are easy to install. There are direction on the web for it.
