What would cause both of the headlamps to stop working on a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix?

This morning when I started the car (in the dark) the headlamps would not come on. The parking lamps come on but no headlamps. The bright lights would also work but not the low beam.
 
check your fuses...I had a 2002 pontiac TransAm and for some reason electrical problems were a normal thing! I would never own another pontiac again..from the fog lights blowing to the lights and guages not working...the car was a headache, and it only had 20k miles on it when everything started breaking.
