What would cause a 2000 Ford Mustang wheel to get hot?

Would it be the caliper sticking, or the brake hose? How can I check to find out which one it is?

A brake caliper is sticking. Either the brake caliper needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

Or the brake caliper pins need to be greased. Make sure only brake caliper grease is used on the caliper pins. Make sure no grease gets on the brake pads or rotor.

When the wheel cools off take the wheel off the car. Then remove the dust cap, the cotter pin, and wiggle the bearings out and inspect them, for blueing(which is burning) pits, any scoring. If any of these are present the bearings, and races will have to be replaced. If you have never done this procedure before dont do it . Take it to your fav. shop and have them do it for you.
