What would be the right approach to my teacher?

Thank you so much for taking your time and responding my question.

I am planning to speak with my teacher about my grade in class this coming Monday, November 19th. Currently my average grade in class is 75, and I would like to earn a higher grade. My teacher does not give extra-credit assignments, and there is no much time left until the end of the semester. I must have a good grade because AP Comparative Class is closely related to degrees I am applying in college, International Government/Political Science.

This is a draft of my conversation with my teacher, and it would be great if there could be added any suggestions in order for me to reach my goal, to receive a higher grade:

Hi,

Thank you very much for your time. I was wondering if we may take a look at the possibilities of my final grade for this AP Comparative Government Class. First, I would like to state that I am not here to ask you for a specific grade and that is not my goal of the meeting today. I would like to prepare myself for what to expect in the close future. I can say I feel very optimistic for the future.

So, am I standing as it is we are speaking now?

How many assignments do we have left? How can I prepare for them best?

Due to your experience and as well as to your knowledge of me as a student, would you predict what grade I will receive upon completion this quarter semester?

How can I improve to prevent the same situation during the next semester?

Thank you very much for your time,
Have a great the rest of the day,
Of course, we will see each other in class.

*I will be calm and positive, friendly and assertive during my conversation with the teacher.

After writing this draft, I decided to step in to my teacher’s shoes in order to be prepared for his responses. I do not feel that I am approaching my goal of receiving a higher grade. What do you think? What are your suggestions?

I am open to any suggestions that will increase my chances of negotiating a higher grade. Please, feel comfortable saying the best approach to this situation.

Thank you very much for taking your time and responding to this question.

I am really looking forward to your response.
