What would be the best distortion/overdrive Lead Pedal?

Hey, Im thinking of buying a 69' Marshall JMP superlead 100 Mark 2.... As you probably know the old marshals only have one channel. I was wondering what would be a good pedal just to give me a boost to play lead as i can set the main rhythm tone on the amp and then use the pedal for lead. I play Rock kinda guns n roses, van Halen, les zepllin AC/DC esc stuff. Can anyone recommend a good pedal that will carry out this function for a maximum of £100 Thanks
