What would be the best and cheapest engine to put in a 1989 Buick Regal.?

I am rebuilding it soon. I know it doesn't need it right now it only has 146000 miles on it. Im just trying to get a general idea of what it would cost. Not to be rude but i don't want to hear the engine will be worth more than the car, like I have heard in the past. When you are restoring or rebuilding a car most of the time the engine is going to be worth more than the car. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Since the engine is going in this summer most likely. Thanks.
When I said rebuild i meant to say im putting a brand new one in. Thats my fault. And as far as the lawnmower engine ill think about that thanks.
My dad also said that i wouldnt be able to drop a 350 in it since its front wheel drive.Is this true? I was also looking at 350 engines not to long ago and thats what i was wanting to do until he told me that. Im not a mechanic, I know a little bit but not enough to put an engine in myself what would be the total cost for 350 installed be?
 
You said you were rebuilding yours but i would get a 350 crate motor or rebuild a older 350 because they aren't very expensive and you have somany options when it comes to performance mods but if you want cheap and reliable get a 305 out of a 90s 1500 1/2 ton truck the z71 version b/c it is pumping about 240 hp stock and is not that expensive 350 is your best bet though I've made a 350 into a 600 horsepower engine without stroking or nitrous or a superchager and i put a lil over 4 thousand bucks into parts but i built it myself
