Okay, I'm trying to write my novel, but I'm stuck on the first chapter. I already have the preface as a peek into the middle of the story, but for the first chapter I'm a little stuck.
The story is about this girl, who didn't think her life could get any better. Her boyfriend is perfect, her best friend is the drummer in her boyfriends band, and she's extremely happy.
But one day, her world turned upside down. Her boyfriend tried to protect her, and is now suffering a fatal stab wound to the heart, with nothing more the doctors could do, an her best friend confessed his love to her. Her boyfriend had broken up with her so she can move on after she dies, so she starts dating him. But it doesn't last long. He is now standing on the edge of a bridge, on the verge of suicide, and she has to choose spending her dying hero's last moments with him, or save her boyfriend, etc., etc.,
Anyway, I am re- writing the story for the last (and umpteenth) time before I send it away for publishing, and I really don't want the beginning to suck.
