My BF totaled his car last week. The insurance adjuster just called him this morning and told him its totaled and he will have a claim person call him to let him know how much his check will be. I've looked online and am confused at what value insurance companies use. Will he get the NADA retail value? ($2,500) or will it be something else. The car had 230,000 miles on it. Does it matter that he striped the car before they came and got it. So he took off his custom rims (replaced with non matching steel rims we got from a junkyard)...cd/mp3/ipod deck (not replaced), Took out sound system, and spare tire from the wheel well ...that's it I think.
Suprisingly he actually had full coverage insurance on the car. He had a lien against the car about 5 years
