i am going to buy a 10 gallon tank for my betta and i want to know what all i will need. like what kind of filter? will my tank need that bubble thing since its a betta? what kind of heater?
You need a 25 or 50 watt heater, you don't need a bubbler, a small sponge filter would be perfect for it. Other filters have high currents and bettas don't like that. some little ornaments and soft plants would do great also. hope this helped
Go with what tyler said, it is cheaper than buying a glass 10 gallon aquarium and everything else separate. Have fun and Good Luck. Don't forget some type of sturdy place to put it, like a stand.
Bettas live in a very small area in a rice field. They only claim a few inches of territory. They dont NEED an air stone like other tropicals do but if you want to put a small decoration with an air line (and the smallest pump they sell) you can. Get a small over the side filter that will filter at least 20 gal. That will create enough current to get some oxygen in the water to support good bacteria growth if you dont use an air line. Any small heater that clips or suctions to the glass is ok as long as it has a built in thermostat so it will turn off when the temp is right. Bettas are very easy and resiliant.
