when i was 19 i was arrested for possession w/ intent to deliver in a school zone. Allegedly there was a quarter pound of weed and less then a gram of coke(about half of which was on a mirror, the other half in a vial.
The police had a body warrant for me (not drug related), so they broke down my door claiming they knew where i was. They then searched my room/ they said i gave permission/ but i don't remember b/c i was on mushrooms at the time/ the owner of the property said no way to the search via. telephone.
Well now 4 years later i am 23 and i got a call from my lawyer saying the D.A. wants to do something about the case- i have to see my lawyer next month to discuss it. For the record my lawter initially delayed the first hearing, after that it was all the d.a. being lazy.
What should i expect? Will they screw me over real good and get me for a few years? i think it sucks that they had to wait so long, seems like if i do go to jail again it will be worse punishment b/c it seems like the past 4 years have been punishment(trouble getting good jobs ect)
Will the evidence stick, can they really wait that long? What will likely happen?
P.S. i went to a 30 day rehab, took some college classes, and got my life together

My state has a 2 y mandatory minimum for the said charge if convicted.
question was can they convict me, will they, is it a priority, why did they wait so long ect??
