What will bike riding do for my body?

So i have a bike, a cruiser, and i am starting to ride it casually around my town/school.
I am just curious what to expect if i keep this up.
lose weight? gain muscle?
where? (legs? thighs? core?)
those types of answers please.


And for you over achievers:

im already "skinney" i suppose, just thick and not tight/toned
so what types of workouts go best with bike? its late and im curious :]
