What were the differences between the CGI(Computer Graphics Imaging) movie

Beowulf the original epic story? I'm doing a paper and it would be nice to know the real differences from the movie and the original Anglo-Saxon text. I've heard from my friends but I'm not sure what to believe in.
I'm writing a paper and would be nice to know the concrete differences between the movie and the original Anglo-Saxon Epic poem
 
There are to many differences to count, but the core one is that rather than being based on the original text, the movie is sort of a depiction of a story that could have inspired that text.

Also, friends are generally more reliable than random internet people.
