what website can i go to get code for my stereo?

i had to replaced the battery on my car and i do not have the code for the stereo. i heard you can get the code online with the serial number of the stereo. Does anybody know the website i can go to??
 
Contact your local dealer's service center and ask them. They can give you the needed phone number. You'll need the stereo's serial number and the car's VIN number in order to get the code.

what kind of car is it...go to the dealer and write the code they give you on the users manual for the car, if you have the users manual it may already be in it, if not, purchase one for your car off ebay so you have it and write it in it
