I actually remember when I was in elementary and watching that news show on nickelodeon about the new Millenium. Basically people thought when the year 2000 hit SOMEHOW computers where just going take over (basically how the media portrays the future with flying cars and all that nonsense). There wasn't really any logic behind the whole idea, it was just magically supposed to happen.
