What was the reason UN troops were sent to Bosnia in the early 1990's?
1. The French and Canadians were fighting.
2. The Muslims were experiencing atrocities.
3. The Muslims were attacking the Christians.
4. The UN was assembling its army.
5. The UN was avoiding a controversy
 
Depends. Early on the muslims were attacking christians and no one gave a rat's behind. Until the serbian Government began to crackdown on the muslim terrorists, old school style (shelling their villages and just waging a ww2 type of A-wiping) then all of the sudden the whole world got a concern and urged the UN and US to do something to stop "ethnic clensing"
Once Serbia was beaten, the KLA terrorists began to kill christians again, that is why to this day you have UN troops in the region. So it was a M kills C, C fight back, UN beats up C, then M kills C again, now UN patrolling to minimize M killing C.

The 1995 NATO bombing in Bosnia and Herzegovina (code-named by NATO Operation Deliberate Force) was a sustained air campaign conducted by the North-Atlantic military organization to undermine the military capability of the Bosnian Serb Army who threatened and attacked UN-designated "safe areas" in Bosnia. The operation was carried out between 30 August and 20 September 1995, involving 400 aircraft and 5000 personnel from 15 nations.

Although planned and approved by the North Atlantic Council in July 1995, the operation was triggered in direct response to the second wave of Markale Massacres on 28 August 1995.

The involvement of NATO, during the 1995 Operation Deliberate Force against the positions of the Army of Republika Srpska internationalized the conflict, but only in its final stages.

The war was brought to an end after the signing of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina in Paris on 14 December 1995.[7] Peace negotiations were held in Dayton, Ohio, and were finalized on 21 December 1995. The accords are known as the Dayton Agreement.
