What was the name of this cartoon that came on in the 90s?

The cartoon had a snail is all I can really remember. I remember the settings and what the snail looked like but that's it. I also think there was a turtle in it. Anyway it was a cartoon that aired in the 90s on Nickelodeon I think. It came on early in the morning usually around the time of the Gnomes and Eureka's Castle.
The show might have aired on Nick Jr.
