Can't remember the title of the first video I see, was about some disabled *I think* bloke, he gets accused of killing or hurting some kid? so runs away hides out inside a scarecrow, townsfolk or something kill him, and he comes back as said scarecrow to get revenge, can't remember it much at all, only remember it because it made my mothers VCR die, dunno the name, was either that one I first see or a movie called Troll, freaky film that..bout a large apartment taken over by this little troll possessing some little girl..

I remember the day we got our first VHS, top loading (of course) big as a house video and the first film we watched on it was.........(and even rented it from a video shop)

Boys In Blue with Cannon and Ball :o :o :o

But I loved it (I was only nine) and I knew virtually every line - the utter shame :o

So, what was yours? :D

Our video was even worse - we got one when I was 9 too, and it was Betamax, :o with huge levers you could operate with your feet (if you were so inclined!)! :D

I think the first one I saw was a Tom and Jerry compilation one, but closely followed by Xanadu! What a crap film!! :D

I hired a VHS machine for the weekend & the first film I also hired & watched was The Warriors (Warriors come out to play) classic.

The Hitcher- my parents were watching it and I caught the finger scene by mistake. Wasn't all that keen on viRAB for a while after that!

If memory serves me right, the first film my parents got out on VHS and therefore the first film I would have seen was "The Elephant Man"

A pirate copy of ET :o

Also around that time scotch were giving a way a top of the pops special with blank tapes. That was probably the first proper pre-recorded show we ever bought.
