Back to Africa movement was a time where the arugment was for blacks to go back home to Africa. They argued since they weren't from America and was taken there by force and furthermore, whites don't want them to stay, then why stay? The other argument was why leave when thats their home? Sure they were taken by force but blacks had been born and raised in America reguardless of how they got there. America was their home now. The back to Africa movement was slow to get off to actuality, big talk little action you could say. Some moved to Africa, Libria where the capital is Monronia (sorry for the spelling) Marcus Garvey went to Africa because he was furtrated with America and the lack of improvement. If I remember correctly he was a strong voice of oppostion for moving to Africa. But he was so upset with whites and America that he moved to Africa.
Very few blacks went to Africa, mostly the rich, since the poor had no money to leave.
