What was Jesus really trying to say when he started discussing holy castration?

Matthew 19:12

He seemed to be promoting the idea of castration, and then he would add "for heaven's sake."

I always thought when Jesus added the remark "for heaven's sake" he meant it's something essential.

But he wouldn't want too many people to get castrated would he? Then there wouldn't be any more babies. And he did like babies.

Anybody got more info on Jesus' ideas about castration?

Y'shua (Jesus) could NOT have been talking about castration because then the person could not enter the temple which was still in use because of the Torah regulation of Deuteronomy 23:1 "He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD." Self mutilation was forbidden in the Torah.

Also the same word translated eunuch can also be translated "faithful ones".

Whatever He meant He was NOT condoning castration because it is a violation of His own law in the Tanach ("Old Testament" which has NOT been done away with)

Yes He loved children.
