i have an original model my touch currently running android 1.6. someone told me that i should be on 2.0, but when i went to check on my phone it said my system is up to date.
also on a side note, is anyone having any problems with their my touch running extremely slow? i have to use the advanced task killer constantly to keep closing things down to keep it's speed up. also my gps keeps going off sporadically throughout the day which also slows it down, so now i keep that off unless i need to use it. it syncs all the time and i have no idea why. if i get a text (handcent) it slows everything i'm doing down. the popup sometimes comes like 5-10 seconds before the vibrate, alert and trackball light comes on.
i really like android but i think all of this is ridiculous for this to be a smartphone. i swear this is the most retarded smart phone i've ever had!!! it's mind numbingly frustrating to use!! does anyone have any solutions?
i saw a listing on craigslist that said they can speed it up for $50. what do you think they can possibly do? i know a buddy of mine has a palm pre and he has MHz overclocked to 800 right now. can this be done to my my touch?
