What upgrades should I get for an '89 Honda Civic?

I just bought my first car, for $100 from my grandpa. Its an '89 Honda Civic, standard transmission. It runs great, and it sounds great, but it looks like it needs work. I plan to replace the stereo system and seats, and hopefully get a paint job for it (Its powder blue at the moment, It needs it)

Any suggestions on what to get for it? Or maybe some comments from someone that has (or has had) this car?
