What uni options are best for a career in economics?

Currently I'm doing a B-Arts/ B-Business (majoring in economics/accounting) that's 4 yrs. I've found this passion for economics that I would love to turn into a career, yet I'm not sure exactly what path to take and how long it would take. I was thinking after the 4yr bachelor to work as a grad. then complete a MBA and then if its possible a p.h.d in economics(its a goal to earn a phd). Is this the right path? cause i'm not sure if a earning a MBA would allow me a do p.h.d in econ? or would i need to do my honours first then MBA then Phd??
