What U.S. president was the first to wear an American flag pin on his lapel?

Since I know that none of our great presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt or Truman ever wore American flag pins on their lapels to demonstrate their patriotism, I wondered, how exactly did this practice get started, and who started it?
