What types of fishing can i do with my new rod and reel combo?

Well, depending on the length of your pole you can do a wide variety of fishing. I use a medium heavy action to fish for just about all freshwater game fish. Bass, Perch, Catfish, Crappie, and so on and so on. If you have a long pole in excess of 7 feet you can cut out perch and crappie for sure. You could use that for surf fishing on the beach. However, if you absolutely wanted to and where willing to change line size and use a variety of baits you could fish for just about anything with just about any pole. That combo is just better designed for your larger fish.

i have the ugly stick catfish, bait-caster rod and reel combo.the rod is a medium to heavy action pole. what type of fishing can i do with this rod and reel besides cat-fishing?
