I love working with sheet metal I have been a sheet metal mechanic for about 2 1/2 years now. I mostly operate machines and equipment(NC Shear, CNC punch press, CNC press brake, conventional mill, conventional lathe, horizontal/vertical band saw, cold cut saw, surface grinder, slip roller, spot welder, hardware and assembly, and driving a forklift) but i can also do CNC programming for a punch press, flat pattern development and I have a little bit of experience in welding and abrasives. Do you think 91W is cut out for me? I have heard there is mainly a lot of welding but that is not what i want to be doing. I'll do it if i have to but I like operating equipment more than welding. Or is the machinist job in the army more suitable for me?
