What type of oil and oil filter do i put in my 2004 jeep wrangler rubicon?

My suggestion is call up the dealer and look into getting some mopar oil and a mopar oil filter unless it is super expensive, eitheway they can tell you what you need, or you can just to any autoparts store and they will tell you the right motor oil and what filter, i always use castrol gtx and a fram filter. The oil filler cap should also say what kind of oil, 5w30 or whatever it is.
If you happen to live in an extreme enviroment, i.e super cold during the winter or super hot during the summer, if not then ignore this. they may recommend an oil with a different viscosity than a normal climate. The dealer can deffenitly help you with this if you need it.
