i am making a sculpture and the primary medium must be aluminum from aluminum cans. I'm think about approaching the project by making a base core out of some material (clay, foam) and molding that, and then just using hot glue to place the piece of aluminum over the molded material.
which material would be best for molding the base out of? i cannot use clay since i do not have access to a kiln and it would also be very heavy
