I have been interested in Marine Biology for quite some time, and now that I'm entering college soon, I'd like to try to slim down my choices of majors. My dream job would be working in the field as a Marine Biologist, such as scuba diving and researching at deep-ocean locations and such. Is there a specific branch of Marine Biology, or Biology, that incorporates this? If there isn't, what job would be the closest?
Also, I've done some research and I've heard all stuff from jobs are extremely hard to obtain in Marine Biology and its extremely competitive, the job will become extinct soon (?), and that the pay isn't the best in the world.
If anyone could answer these questions, that would be awesome. Thanks!
