What type of food do you like to make when you go camping?

You can make anything camping as you can make at home, only it tastes better. There is something about being outdoors that makes it all better. Some items may require some advance planning to turn out right.

We discovered something surprisingly good this weekend. It is very simple. We took boneless, skinless chicken breast and placed them frozen, in a large ziploc type bag. We packed them frozen to ensure that they would be kept cold enough in the cooler until we cooked them. The afternoon of the day that we planned to cook them we poured in a bottle of KFC marinade that we found at our grocery store (in the salad dressing/BBQ sauce isle). It was the Caribbean Jerk flavor. We let the chicken marinate for about 3 hours and then grilled it over charcoal. It was the best chicken we have ever had! It was easy and cheap!

Dude foods... you gotta have some eggs bacon and biscuits and gravey in the morning... sandwhiches in a cooler for lunch... hotdogs or hamburgers are always nice to grill for dinner. watch out for racoons keep your food out of reach of them critters
