I've gone the general practitioner route and had a lot of tests done, they found a burst ovarian cyst said that was the problem and that was the end of it. Well it is now over a year later and I am still having problems.
I am 22, female, 5'9" my weight is fluctuating really intensely from 155-175 it does distribute rather evenly throughout my whole body but I do get a little bit of pudginess on my stomach when it upswings to 175.
I get severe cramping on my periods so much so that I can hardly get out of bed some days. Very heavy flow.
I have severe fatigue, am tired all day even if I get a good amount of sleep. Horrible sleep problems, insomnia, hypersomnia, sleep paralysis (since I was 8 it fluctuates from an episode a few times a week to once every few months) I can sleep anywhere for 4-20 hours. Sometimes I can't sleep for 36-48 hours.
I get hot flashes, followed by cold chills.
Headaches where light and sound hurt.
I seem to always have a stomach ache.
My smelling and tasting seems to become more intense at certain points, I have a ton of hair but it seems like I pull clumps out of it way more then the average person (although with the amount of hair I have I cant imagine what it would be like if it didn't fall out in droves.) I'm a redhead if that matters. I have good skin, I bruise easily but don't scar? I know this is a lot and I am sorry I am just trying to think of anything that could pinpoint what the issue is.
On the mental health side I do have a lot of anxiety and minor depression and maybe that is what is causing some of this but I don't think it can cause all of it. (I've done a lot of therapy and it hasn't seemed to help much)
I am a vegetarian and conscious of my nutritional health, I take a vitamin shake and eat a lot of vegetables. I am absolute rubbish at exercising, and am trying to at least go on a daily walk or swim. I do not do any drugs (nor have I ever, never even tried pot, don't see the point) I do drink wine with dinner.
All in all I suppose what I am asking is two things, one do you have any ideas what this could be? And also is their a specific type of doctor that I should go to, or should I just try to find a different general practitioner? I am in the winter park (orlando) Florida area if anyone happens to know of a good doctor around that part.
