What type of bmx bike should be my first?

I'm starting to get into bmx biking and i wanted to know what type i should get. I'm interested in doing dirt jumping and also do tricks just on the streets in my neighborhood. Is there a bike that can do both of thoughs? and how easy is it to break a bmx bike. Also how much will it cost to get a nice bmx bike and were can i find one??
