brought about the greatest chang? Historians simply can’t explain everything that happened (that would take longer than the history itself!). Instead, they often focus on the eras in which major change occurred. What two eras of modern American history (1865 to the present) do you believe brought about the greatest change? Be specific about what kind of change (cultural/social, economic, political) you are looking at. Describe the change and explain why it happened.
 
Whether you agree with what it has accomplished or not, the New Deal brought about by President Franklin D. Roosevelt's administration has changed very many things in the country. So I would say the mid-20th century has changed a great deal of our nation, for better or for worse, depending on how you view history.
