What tropical fish would get along with a male betta?

I've recently added my male betta to my community tank. I've got him in with guppies, neons and sucking catfish and he's doing really well. But I'm looking to get some more small tropical fish, that would also get along with my betta, any suggestions?
 
try some mollies and platies. They come in bright colors and are quick enough to get out of the way. But they are slightly larger than neons and guppies. About one inch for the platies and two for the mollies. And ask a specialist at the pet store about Gourami's. If you have a larger tank they can be really cool. They are larger so they shouldn't have a problem with the beta but my worry would be if they would attack the beta. Gourami's are cool though because they change color.
