What tropical fish should i put in a 35 litre fish tank?

I will be getting an elite style 35 with a heater what fish should i put in the tank. I want to put in some red cherry shrimp so i want to know what a good variety of fish that would get on well together and not eat the shrimp. I would like hardy fish that aren't to hard to care for. So what fish should in the tank
