My boyfriend is in the Army, and he has a formal Dining Out in a couple of months. I'm extremely nervous because I've never been to one before. A friend of mine had an old prom dress she gave to me, and my boyfriend (who HAS been to one before) said it was just fine. I'm scared it will be too "glitzy". It's strapless, it's black at the top, and it gradually fades into red at the bottom. It has sequins (not too many) across the bodice. And it's A-line. He tells me it is just perfect, but I'm scared it may be too much. What do you think?
