What to wear to a Sex and the City party?

Its my friends 30th in 3 weeks and it a sex in the city theme. I don't have much money to spend on a new outfit and i wouldn't be a girly girl so don't have the clothed in my wardrobe. Anyone have any ideas on what sort of thing i should wear (anything but a belly top) :P
