What to send a deployed soldier in Iraq now a days? He's at camp victory so I assume...

...they have everything? Ok so now that I read online, soldiers out in Iraq esp. in Camp Victory have more than what a walmart here has to offer. Do soldiers still want the stuff they used to ask for like personal hygeine stuff, socks, under shirts. I even send snacks, is this just not worth sending anymore.

I send my brother clothes from stores he can't shop at. I've sent him his favorite popcorn or candy he likes that they don't sell at his BX.

Don't let the fact that they have the equivalent of a Wal Mart deter you. Soldiers still love to get packages from home. it means that someone cares about them and is thinking about them.

Even if you send nothing more than a pack of gum, it will still mean a package from home for him to open, it will mean you cared enough to do it.
and you're thinking of him.

Pack of gum, $1.00, the joy of receiving a package from home---priceless.

PS A recent copy of home town newspaper is always a winner.
