what to play on bass for gcse music solo performance.?

i really dont have any clue what i could play on bass guitar to get an A in my gcse music performance does anyone have any ideas?
im also a drummer but i really suck when it comes to performing so i stick to just jamming out rock songs really.
but with bass i find it fairly easy to play alot of things.
my plans are to go onto 6th form for music then go to university but im also not quite sure if theyre will accept me if i just play bass (for university) what do you think?
 
im in year 9 and play bass i just choose my options i choose music and we have to play performances every term and struggle to find songs to play does anyone have any ideas
