What sould I expect during a blood test. I haven't had one in over 14 years:eek: and I'm only 24 now. Is there anything I should or should not do?
Any suggestions would be GREAT!!!!

If it is the blood draw during a normal checkup for measuring blood cholesterol, blood sugar, and the like, the usual procedure is to fast (not eat) for 12 hours before.

If it is for any other purpose, ask for any special instructions from your doctor.

There is absolutely nothing to be worried or nervous about for a blood test. It will be over in less than 30 seconds. You'll feel a slight prick from the needle and that's about it. Seriously...the pain you felt when you fell down and scraped your knee as a kid, was way worse than anything you'll feel from a simple blood draw. Relax and don't worry.
