What to eat before running and playing sports?

I play soccer and its one of my favorites sports, but when im running laps i tend to get tired really fast. Is there any type of food i could eat to give me the best amount of energy. if so when should i eat it before my training sessions? thank you for the help and if there is any questions please ask and i will try to reply
also while practicing ive gotten a bad cramp in my calves and i cant walk 2 days later any clue what it can be and how to prevent it
