i recently bought a 1999 chevy metro lsi. i replaced a few parts including the alternator. soon after i found the car dead often when i went to drive it. i replaced the battery and continued to experience the problem. i had the charging system checked at the local auto zone to be told that the output had failed. so, i went to the place i had the alternator replaced. They told me the alternator was fine but a possible drain could be hidden on the car. the car seems to start up fine and doesnt experience problems unless it sits for several hours off so a parasitic drain was suggested. we checked for the parasitic drain ourselves using and ammeter and taking turns pulling the fuses to find the drain only to find nothing. now, im faced with returning to another mechanic to pay for them to possible find the drain unless there's something "screwy". has anyone experienced this type of issue or have any ideas? thank you.
also, the car seems to start up fine and doesnt experience problems unless it sits for several hours off.
