what to do with complaining neighbor?

my husband and i got married 2 months ago and live in an apartment complex. recently we got a letter from the office of our complex saying that neighbors were complaining about being able to hear "amorous activities" coming from our apartment. obviously we are newly weds and just doing what newly weds do! before my husband moved in we took some precautions to make sure that the noise level would be down. we moved the bed so that it is angled in a corner rather than being up against a wall and made sure the headboard and rails were firmly attached to avoid unnecessary squeaking.

we believe the neighbor that complained lives bellow us. she is an older woman that lives by herself and has been known to bang on her ceiling with a broom if i walk to hard in the apartment!

what should i do with this situation? we love the apartment and complex we are in and are obviously not going to stop our "amorous activities" but we don't want to feel like we are walking on egg shells in our own apartment! we pay a pretty penny to live there just like she does!
also... could we be evicted for continuing noise complaints? isn't some noise in an apartment building reasonable? we wrote a letter to our leasing office stating the precautions we had taken before my husband moved in, but have not received a response from them. is there anything we can do legally if it comes to that?

Nobody wants to hear you screw.

How would you like to hear two eighty year old neighbors going at it every night? You'd be disgusted.

Keep private things private. Turn on loud music and be quieter.

Yes, you could be evicted for numerous complaints. This brings to mind the movie 'The Secret of My Success' with Michael J. Fox. Hysterically funny, but not for the person who has to lose sleep because of it.

Lol sorry if this may seem rude but I would to know if you took a HPT yet? What were the results. All I can say about your neighbours is that they must be putting their ears against the walls. There is no way they could hear something like that without trying to listen. Good luck.

Find a CD of soft classical music to play during your romantic times.
As far as the lady downstairs, always take off your shoes and wear slippers,
