What to do when your afraid of Dodge ball?

We had to play dodge ball last year and I got hit in the face very hard... 3 times. Im pretty sure it was on purpose. Now I am scared to DEATH of dodge ball. Recently we had to play dodgeball, and we HAVE to play. What do I do? And when I see these people play hard ball, they aim for the face and go as hard as they can. PS I am not fat, so that's not the problem. I am normally picked on because I am different just because I am not a gangster like everyone else
