What to do when you are humiliated in the military?

My friend joined the military over 2 years and is desperately trying to get out because the humilliations that he and his family are going through is too much for him to handle. I would like a person that can answer my question without saying things like my friend should suck it up or deal with it and be a man about it. I'm looking for an answer more on the spiritual and emotional side not base if you like it the military or not. Why should any person be humiliated especially when they are giving their life for a country.

The US army does not need its people demoralized by some fool on a power trip (outside of basic training eh, Gunny?!) lol.
