what to do when pills are stolen?

can you help me? anyone? of course you may think I am an addict, but I'm not. I'm the wife who's husband's pills got stolen. He has been through withdrawela before where he went into convulsions. Should we go to his dr to try to get some to replace. please help.
 
your doctor may persribe more if he does not have a past drug history . the first thing to do is report it to the police an bring the report to his doctor . i had this happen to a friend . an he needed the police report. good luck an there is always the er room:)
 
Is he in a pain contract? If so, it usually stipulates that refills will not be given for any reason (lost, stolen, etc..) If he has gone through convulsions for withdrawal before you should either go to an ER and tell them the medication he is on or call his doctor to see what can be done. Was a police report filed?
 
No there was no police report taken. We were at a function out of town about 30 miles away and didn't realize until we got home. ok, thanks. I kinda figured that's what we needed to do. thanks again.
 
I had my pills stolen once, when we had a bbq years ago. We called the police, gave a statement (over the phone) and went to the ER. They gave me enough to last until that scrpit ran out.

I'm not saying your ER will do the same, however it's definitely worth a try.

Do you know who stole them? Did your house get broken into? That would really suck, but yeah I heard they will give you more but you need to file a report so they know your serious and not just looking for extra pills.
