My partner and I have a twelve year old son, that tends to take more to me then her, so I lay down the discipline a bit more thick because when i tried it her way (being so soft and kind) I never saw results. When I lay it on a bit thick and firm, I see miracles happen within him.
So I get frustrated when I am talking with him and she tells me to stop and take a break, when first I am not beating or yelling at my son. Second I am not making him feel less of a person, and third I understand that homework is a big responsibility. I feel I am more then fair with my son, he has more then enough wonderful games, and fun things to do. So can someone please shed the light and give me some advice.
