the best thing to do would probably be to give it away to a charity (things like brown santa are coming up soon since the holidays are right around the corner) then you should tell your neighbor (if they ask, otherwise you probably shouldn't say anything to avoid a possibly awkward situation) that you felt guilty for not using the bike, so you thought that it would be a better idea to give it to someone less fortunate who would use it more often than you.
