I have a major dilemma. My boyfriend and I have been together for over 2.5 years (I was gone abroad for 1 year) and there is no intimacy in our relationship. we don't have sex at all anymore because it hurts me when he tries to penetrate deeper, and it's weird because I have been able to have sex with other partners and not have this problem.
Before I left abroad, we had sex, and while it didn't feel good for me, it didn't hurt and i didn't mind it, and he always came. We both performed oral sex for each other at this time.
But after I came back, he stopped performing oral sex on me and intercourse started to hurt. So it is very unsatisfying for him, he never came and we never have sex anymore. We use lubrication, but it still hurts. (I have never asked for oral sex, even though I quite enjoy it and want it)
I am seeing a licensed clinical social worker for the problem and she seems to think that this issue is just a small problem linked to a larger problem. But we haven't come up with any solution, and he doesn't seem to try to help me because he thinks it "shouldn't be that hard."
i dont have much experience with sex. I had one other partner who I had sex with 5 times, and another partner who I dated for three months and had sex a handful of times, but neither of these times ever hurt.
I want us to have a satisfying sex life and I think it's an important part of our relationship. But now, we're in trouble because he wants to date other people and thinks he will be attracted to others because "something is missing in our relationship."
What should I do? Should I just say there is no chemistry and walk away, or can you suggest solutions to try so that we can save our relationship. BTW, I do want to marry this man.
Thank you for your help. I dont know what to do.
